George J. Fenton of Burlington Township passed away Tuesday December 10, 2024 at Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice in Mt. Holly at the age of 77. Born in Burlington, George remained a lifelong resident. He honorably served in the US Army and Army reserves during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Public Service Electric and Gas Co. as a power plant operator until his retirement. In his spare time and his retirement he was a avid outdoorsman. It was his true passion since his was a child. He enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed hunting; duck, deer or other big game. He was truly at home and at peace in the outdoors. George was predeceased by his parents George and Edith (nee Antuzzi) Fenton and his sister Trudy Fenton. He is survived by cousins Lisa Antuzzi, John Antuzzi and Matt Antuzzi, his good friends; Robin Oliver who was like a brother, Keith Reily who shared in many of his hunting adventures, Jim Lawson and Art Barstow. A viewing for George will be held Friday, December 20th from 10-11:30am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 at the funeral home with burial following in Odd Fellows Cemetery, 4527 US Rt. 130, Burlington.
