George Szychoski Obituary

George Edward Szychoski 10/6/1934- 12/8/2024. George wore many hats in his lifetime. He was a Mason, head of the Fire Police at Station 301 in Burlington Township an served as the Intelligence Officer to the Admiral of the Mediterranean Naval Fleet. He retired from PSE&G as an electrician and Store Room Manager after 25-plus years. He loved traveling, spending quality time with family and friends, fishing and serving the Lord. His infectious laugh, loving nature and many stories will be deeply missed. He was a beloved husband, preceded in death by his wife Joy Szychoski, dearly loved father, adored grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his second wife Marie Szychoski, his 3 children: Debra Long (Ernest), Michael Szychoski (Sharon), Kathleen Marino (James), 4 grandchildren: Jacqueline Marino (Fiance’ Josh), James Marino (Fiance’ Ashley), Jeffrey Perro, Shannon Long; 5 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Logan, Landon Marino-Ferran, CJ, Landyn Schumacher, brother Edward Szychoski (Debra), 2 brothers in laws, Larry Purdy (Sandra), Wayne Purdy (Denise), 2 sisters in laws, Eileen Purdy, Susan Szychoski. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington, NJ 08016, from 10am-11:30am. A short service by Reverend Lowe will follow and entombment will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery Mausoleum, 4527 Rt. 130South, Burlington immediately following the service.
