I went into the woods because I wished to see what it had to teach me and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. It's here in the heart of the wilderness, through the woods, we're taught humility, patience and balance. Gregory H. Rasar was a man of family. He was charismatic and kind hearted but stubborn. A salt of the earth husband, father and friend. Mother nature knows no right and mother nature knows no wrong. Just as every salty tear returns to the sea, In the afternoon on Saturday October 21st, it was unknowingly time to return Greg to nature when he unexpectedly passed away at Lourdes of Burlington County in Willingboro at the age of 52. Greg was born with a slow, southern draw in Maryville, TN and had been a longtime Burlington resident. He had worked as the head custodian for Mount Laurel Schools and enjoyed surrounding himself with family and friends. Greg was an avid fisherman who knew that a bad day of fishing was always better than a good day at work. He had been a member and Past President of the Cookstown Salt Water Anglers Club and contributed his time to the annual Joint Base MDL Kiddie Trout Derby. Greg enjoyed hunting and fishing in the NJ pine lands, upstate NY and in the St. Lawrence River with Bob Paul but nothing was better than spending race day with his sons at the "Monster Mile", Dover International Speedway. Jesus said"...Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Greg is loved and survived by his parents Charles "Herb" & Treva (nee Gregory) Rasar, his wife Terry (nee Paul) and his sons William & Tiffany Neville and Joseph Rasar. He is the proud grandfather of Lillian Rasar and is also survived and will be sadly missed by his brother Michael & his wife Patti Rasar as well as his nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Rasar family to remember Greg, celebrate that trophy buck and pay tribute to a loving husband, father and friend. We'll be sharing fond memories and telling old fishing stories on Friday morning between 9:00 and 11:00 am at the Page Funeral Home 302 E. Union St. Burlington where a service of remembrance will begin at 11:00 am. We will bury Greg's body but not his beliefs, his heart but not his love and his voice but not his message immediately after at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Burlington. #lifecelebrationbypage To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Gregory H.
