Helen Varsaci (Nee: Karczmarski) passed away on October 12, 2022 at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Fl at the age of 97. Helen was married to the late Joseph Varsaci of Country Joe’s Peach Farm in Jobstown. Prior to moving to Jobstown they lived in Burlington, where they started their family. Helen was a very artistic individual, who enjoyed creating ceramic and pottery pieces. In addition to those hobbies, she was an avid seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and traveling. Helen decided she wanted to teach and went to Trenton State College to obtain her teaching degree. Helen taught at Holy Assumption in Roebling, Springfield Elementary, and retired from New Egypt School District. She also served as President of the Teachers’ Association while teaching in Springfield. She was a member of NEA and NJEA. A devout Catholic, Helen was a member of All Saints RC Church and was extremely proud of her Polish heritage. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Connie (Del) Rife and Noreen Varsaci; grandchildren: Steven and Jeffrey Rife, Chelsea Varsaci; sister-in-law: Mary Varsaci and many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington from 9-10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints RC Church, 502 High Street, Burlington at 11am with burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
