Irma H. Trobich (Nee: Szekely) of Burlington Township, N.J., passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2020, surrounded by her loving daughters and devoted caretakers at Granville Place at the age of 93. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and was a graduate of Hallahan High School. She then went to work at Stetson Hat Company before marrying her Navy man, Charles, and starting a family and eventually moving to Burlington Township, N.J., and then to Delran, N.J. After raising the girls, she worked as a librarian and a casino worker, which she so enjoyed. She was an avid reader, a Philadelphia Phillies fan, was a shopper-and-returner, but most of all, her family was the love of her life. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Charles Trobich, her son-in-law, William Drexel, her mother and father, Mary and Stephan Szekely, and her brother, Steve Szekely. She is survived by her daughters, Suzann Drexel and Sandra Trobich (Gary Jacques); grandchildren William Drexel, Jr. (Anne-Marie), Christopher Drexel (Kristin), and Meredith Dieal (David); great grandchildren Jocelyn, Evangeline, Reese, Madeline, Charles (Chase), Ella, and Tyler; her sister, Johanna Marie Rodgers; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially thank Irma’s extended family of devoted caretakers at Granville Place, and also Caring Hospice. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at St. Paul’s R.C.Church, 223 East Union Street, Burlington, N.J., 08016. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Road, Burlington, N.J. Social distancing and facial covering will be required for all events.
