Jacquelyn 'Jackie' Lee Salter, 73, of Buena, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025, after a courageous two-year battle with lung cancer. Born in Camden, NJ; the daughter of the late Joseph Rollins and Ruth (Perry) Lis.
She carried with her a zest for life that was unmatched. Over her lifetime, her life was an adventure that took her across the country, later settling in the sunny shores of Port St. Lucie, FL, and eventually returning back to New Jersey, where she spent her final days embraced by the love of her family.
Jackie fought bravely until the end, surrounded by her loving family at Inspira Medical Center Vineland. Jackie was a force of nature, a woman who lived life unapologetically and to the fullest. Jackie was tough yet caring, a woman with an enormous heart for her family and her animals. Jackie’s stories were unforgettable—when she shared them, they were filled with humor, wisdom, and her unfiltered perspective on life. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—dining out, reading, travel, animals, and spending time with her family. She was not your ordinary Mom and Mom-Mom but extraordinary in every sense of the word. Jackie lived her life unfiltered, and her presence will be deeply missed. While her earthly journey has ended, her spirit lives on in the memories shared and the love she gave so freely.
Jackie is the beloved mother of Jennifer McGurk (Bernard), Christopher Wood, and Eric Brumley (Tina). Devoted Mom-mom of Stephanie Mayes (Lissette), Chellie Fitzgerald, Heather Fitzgerald, Johnnie Fitzgerald, Courtney Riffe (Thomas), Albina Brumley, Mikey Wood, and Justin Fields. Great Grandmother of Adrien, Jayden, Angela, and Addison. Loving Sister of Joseph Rollins (Sue), Jeff Rollins (Neblia), and Judith Jack (Bill). She also leaves behind her beloved cat Jaxson and her faithful dog, Lil One. Her step-daughters, step-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her first husband Lester Wood Sr., her second husband Raymond Salter, and sister, Joanne Rollins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral services on Friday, May 16, at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St. Burlington. Viewing: 10 am-12 Noon
Memorial Service: 12 Noon with Interment to follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery 4527 US art. 130 Burlington, NJ 08016
