Jane E. Mehrer (nee Freck) passed away at her residence in Burlington City at the age of 96. Born in Burlington Twp. she has been a lifelong Burlington resident. She worked as a bank teller and later as a clerk for Auto Parts Supply in Burlington City, from where she retired. Jane was a member of the Relief Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in Burlington Twp. and supported her children and grandchildren as a Cub Scout den mother, a PTA homeroom mother, a sports mom and as a lunchroom aide at St. Paul School in Burlington City. She loved spending time at the hair salon socializing with her friends there. She was known as an excellent cook and was the best at preparing wild game as her husband and sons were all outdoorsmen and would bring home deer, rabbit and many other types of game for her to prepare. With all these activities, Jane most enjoyed the time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Theodore and Mary Jane (nee Potts) Freck, her brother Theodore Freck and her husband Olin Mehrer. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law; David and Kathleen Mehrer and Curt and Caroline Mehrer, her grandchildren; Kimberlee (Tim) and Matthew (Amy), her siblings; Thelma Burr and Diane Haines, as well as several nieces, nephews and other family members. The family would like to extend to Dr. Tatiana Aliferova and her entire staff a word of deep gratitude for the care and compassion shown to Jane for many years. A graveside service will be held 11am Saturday December 21st in Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Rt. 130 North Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the Broad Street United Methodist Church, 36 East Broad St., Burlington, NJ 08016 would be appreciated by her family.
