Jeanne Kempton was called home on June 20, 2026. Born in New York City to John Baptiste and Marie Emma Icart. She was the youngest of six children and a devout Catholic

During her teenage years she was sought after to sing on stage, however she was a little to shy to perform. Roller and ice skating, dancing and going to the movies were some of her favorite past times.

While working in the office of a dairy, she met Leon C. Kempton, who was a delivery driver. They were married on April 19 and their family included six children.

As a stay at home mom, she always had delicious pastries, etc..when we returned from Saint Joseph’s School. She volunteered at the school during lunchtime and any other time she was needed. St. Joseph’s was like having a big extended family, many of our former classmates still express fond memories of her kindness and generosity.

Jeanne worked full time at Southland Corporations in Willingboro, NJ. Later she worked at Midland Bank in Burlington Township and also in Columbus until she semi-retired and enjoyed working part-time at Walgreens as a book keeper. She also worked for many years at Gregorys Department Store. Jeanne loved traveling to visit friends and family and enjoyed watching her soap operas, going to the movies with her friend Betty and her niece Debbie. She also enjoyed spending time with special friends, Sharon and Joe D’Errico and Elaine Hart.

Jeanne was a strong, kind women, who always found the good in everyone. You never heard her gossip or say anything negative about anyone.

We are sad to see her go but realize she left this world on her own terms and is now reunited with her parents, brothers, sister and many dear friends.

Jeanne was predeceased by her parents John Baptiste Icart and Marie Emma Icart, her husband Leon Kempton; her sisters: Rose Edison and Marcel Bisonic; brothers: Roger Icart, Arthur Icart and Gabriel Icart. A niece Deborah Bisonic and great nephew Boleslaw Sarnowski.

Jeanne is survived by her loving children: Terry Reinken (Steve), Michael (Lisa) Kempton, Thomas Kempton, Karen (Mike) Crago, Carol Palma and Billy Wheatley, Gary Kempton; her grandchildren: Stephen Reinken (Claire), Amanda Reinken, Christina Booth (Ian), Alyssa Sadowski (Alex), Brielle Morrichetti, Alexandria Kempton, Austin Bellman, Mason Kempton, Liam Kempton, McKenzie Kempton, Michael Crago (Ashley), Mark Crago (Amber), Anthony Crago (Cassidy), Dominique (Nick) Bastiaans, Faith Palma & John Beatty, Micayla Palma & Matt Brownrigg, Gary Kempton, Jr. and Great-grandchildren: Lillian Reinken, Trevor Reinken, Isabella Booth, Lilyanne Booth, Ian Booth, Dalton Crago, Mark Crago, Reid Brownrigg, Zachariah Reinken.

The family invites friends to her viewings at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington on Wednesday from 6-8pm and also Thursday from 9:15-10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11am in St. Joseph’s RC Church, Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish. Burial will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
