Joan E. Ptaszenski of Burlington passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday at the age of 72. She was born in Mt. Holly and was a longtime employee of Burlington Coat Factory(Burlington Stores). Joan was a family first lady who adored her children, but her grands and great grands are the one’s who had her heart. She enjoyed doing art’s and crafts and gardening. When she found time, re-arranging and painting of the house could happen at any given time. She was predeceased by her husbands: Wayne B. Melton, Sr. and Edward I. Ptaszenski, Sr. and her grandsons: Andrew Bayron, Wayne “Trey” Melton, III, great-granddaughter Layla Regina Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Linda Melton-Smith (Troy), Wayne B. Melton, Jr. (Michele), Susan Catalano (Anthony), Lisa Molina (Israel), Edward Ptaszenski, Jr. (Stephanie), Brian Ptaszenski, Sr. (Stephanie), 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to either The TEARS Foundation, 111 W. Broad Street, Palmyra, NJ 08065 or to Burlington City Police Department K-9 Unit, 525 High Street, Burlington, NJ 08016.
