Joan Ann (Sexton) Warren

Joan Ann (Sexton) Warren of Burlington Township passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday July 27, 2023 at the age of 78 surrounded by loving family. Born in Riverside, NJ Joan was a longtime resident of Burlington Township. She was retired as a teacher’s aide from Burlington Township High School after 25 years of service. Joan was an incredibly selfless woman, devoted wife, loving mother and caring friend. She was a dedicated volunteer to her community serving as a member of the Burlington Township Fire Department, where she held the title of President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Independent Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for over 60 years. She was a member of the Burlington County Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary where she served as Chaplain and Treasurer. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, watching reality tv and crocheting. Joan was an outstanding homemaker who loved cooking and baking for family and friends. Joan was predeceased by her parents, John and Helen (Kalinowski) Sexton, her beloved husband William, sister Patricia Dennison and brother John Sexton. She is survived by her loving children; Deborah (Steven) Painter, Christine Warren, Bernadette (Scott) Estelow and John (Jennifer) Warren, her adoring grandchildren; William Warren, Marissa Estelow and Morgan Estelow, and her siblings; Mary Eberhart, Edward Sexton, Barbara (Eugene) Montalto, sister-in-law Jane Sexton as well as many nieces and nephews. A viewing for Joan will be held Sunday July 30th from 6-8pm and Monday, July 31st from 9-10am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Monday at St. Paul R.C. Church, 223 E. Union St., Burlington. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rt. 130 Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Independent Fire Co., 1601 Burlington By-Pass, Burlington, NJ 08016, or to the Endeavor Emergency Squad, 1309 Rancocas Rd., Burlington, NJ 08016 or to the Burlington Township FOP Lodge #84, PO Box 1784 Burlington, NJ 08016.
