Joan Mary (Schiehle) Wright

Joan Mary Wright, (nee’ Schiehle) 87, died on February 9,2025 at Masonic Village at Burlington, NJ. Born in Riverside, NJ on September 6, 1937, she met her husband to be, Richard Wright, at a close friend’s wedding.  Rich & Joan married on December 20, 1958, and settled in Columbus Park in Burlington NJ.  They enjoyed traveling, camping and spending summers at Big Timber Lake Campground in Cape May Courthouse.  Joan worked for Burlington City as a Crossing Guard and a Police Matron.  She lived in Columbus Park until 2015 when she relocated to Masonic Village. Joan was predeceased by her husband Richard Wright. She is survived by her daughter Cindy (Paul) Shemansky and grandson Craig; siblings Verna Dewald, Sandy Lopisz, and Paul Schiehle. Funeral Services will occur on February 22, 2025 at the Masonic Village Chapel.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Services will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private and occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Masonic Village Memory Care or Team Appreciation funds in care of Masonic Village at Burlington, 902 Jacksonville Road, Burlington, NJ  08016. Cindy would like to thank staff of Amedisys Hospice for their care and support. Special thanks to the team at Masonic Village for the wonderful care and services provided to Joan over the past 10 years.
