Joann (Yosa) Wheatley

Joann Wheatley (nee Yosa) of Eastampton passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside Monday January 20, 2025 at Virtua Marlton Hospital at the age of 77. Born in Mt. Holly, Joann grew up and was a longtime resident of Burlington before moving to Medford and then Eastampton. She was employed for decades as a customer service manager for AT&T, first in Burlington and then in Basking Ridge until her retirement. In retirement she followed her passion by working in retail. She was a parishioner of St. Paul R.C. Church in Burlington and also attended Fellowship Alliance in Medford. She was an avid shopper who also enjoyed other passions in life including; skiing, bowling and she had a special skill in ceramics. She enjoyed her time on Long Beach Island and going on family vacations in Hilton Head, SC and Williamsburg, VA. She also loved all animals. Joann lit up a room with her infectious smile and was “always” the life of the party. If you had the luxury of spending time with her you walked away with a smile and a fond memory.  Joann was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Margaret (nee Palante) Yosa and her brother Michael Yosa. She is survived by her children Michelle (Greg) Parker and Michael (Melissa) Costello, her grandchildren; Demitrius (Jessica), Isabella (Andrew) and Sophia, her great grandson Nova, her brother Jimmy Petrocelli and her fiancé Frank J. Rago. She is also survived by her former husband and father of her children Michael Costello and former husband Billy Wheatley. A viewing for Joann will be held from 9-10:30am, Monday January 27th at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Monday in St. Paul R.C. Church, 223 E. Union St., Burlington. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, 4527 US Rt. 130 Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 223 E. Union St., Burlington, NJ 08016 would be appreciated by her family.
