Joanne M. O’Donnell passed away peacefully Saturday July 22, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. Joanne, eldest of six children to the late Anna and Joseph Welsko of Freeland, Pennsylvania, graduated from St. Ann’s High School. She attended Moore College of Art and later Jefferson School of Nursing in Philadelphia graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1956. Joanne is preceded in death by her husband Cornelius and is survived by her three children Susan (Kevin) Hagan, Michael (Louise) O’Donnell, Andrew (Francesca) O’Donnell, grandchildren Ryan (Jamie), Lauren (Jeff), Kevin, Jr., John (Bri), Kathleen, Gabrielle, Raquel, Isabella, Sophia and great-grandchild Penny. She is also survived by her siblings Mark, David and Judy. Joanne loved her calling as an RN and was employed by Rancocas Valley Hospital in Willingboro for more than 36 years. In the course of her career she became the Patient Care Coordinator for the hospital, an arduous position which brought her great satisfaction in helping others receive post-hospital care. She was an avid lover of the Arts. Joanne enjoyed painting in her free time and donated her talents to many charitable events throughout her lifetime. More than anything else, Joanne relished the time she spent with the love of her life “Connie” her husband of 62 years. A viewing will be held Friday July 28, 2023 from 8-10am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Friday in St. Paul R.C. Church, 223 E. Union St., Burlington. Interment will be held 12 noon Saturday, July 29th in St. Ann’s Cemetery, 549 St. Ann’s Rd., Freeland, PA 18224.
