John E. Wilkins, Jr.

John E. Wilkins, Jr. (Ed) passed away on Thursday, November 30th, 2023 at the age of 85. Born and raised in Burlington, he was a longtime Burlington resident who worked for Occidental Chemical for 35 years. Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing and crabbing at the shore. Ed was predeceased by his parents John and Ethel Wilkins and his wife of 65 years, Catherine Wilkins. He is survived by his 5 children: Maryann Fazekas (Chris), John Wilkins, III (Donna), Kelly Chase (Late Brian), Jason Wilkins (Pam), Matthew Wilkins (Rachel), his sister Lorraine Sampson (Wayne) and best friend Marge Tettemer; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. To respect Ed’s wishes there will be no viewing and a private burial. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, the Burlington County Animal Shelter or the Endeavor EMS.
