John "Jack" Thomas Boyer, 92, of Burlington City passed away peacefully on March 25, 2021. Jack was born in East Riverton on December 17, 1928. After high school Jack enlisted in the Navy and was stationed on the USS Rochester. Jack was the former president of Everworth Machine Shop and also worked at U.S. Pipe in Burlington for 46 years before his retirement. In 1949 Jack became a member of the Steelworkers Local 2026 and served as shop steward, grievance committee man as well as serving on the negotiating, civil rights and house committees. He served as financial secretary for 16 years and COPE chairman for 23 years. After retirement, Jack enjoyed traveling and was able to visit Egypt, China, Japan, Germany and the Caribbean. An avid sports fan, he loved all Philly teams as well as going to the casinos and seeing his family. He is predeceased by his wife, Doris, his parents, Walter and Elizabeth (Bowe) Boyer, his brother Walt Boyer and his grandson, Tommy Chorosiewski. He is survived by his loving children, Jason Boyer of Burlington City, Christina (Elliott) Boyer of Little Egg Harbor, Linda Chorosiewski of Absecon and Bob (Robin) Nelson of Gloucester City. Grandchildren Kim, Brandon, Danielle, Christian, Rebecca, Ethan, Ian and Ryan as well as 3 Great Grandchildren, neices, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, Browns Mills NJ
