Joseph F. Dugan, age 95 of Burlington City, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 13, 2021. Joseph grew up in Philadelphia and was a proud graduate of Roman Catholic HS. After serving in the Pacific during World War II, he married and in 1952 moved to Burlington City where he and his wife Clare raised their family. He spent 40 years in the trucking industry and after retirement he worked as a chauffeur and as an assistant at Page’s Funeral Home. He was also very proud of his long time service to the City of Burlington as a City Councilman. Joe was a self-proclaimed “superb Irish Tenor.” An evening never passed in the Dugan household without an Irish ballad being belted out followed by a glass of scotch to soothe the throat. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Clare and their sons: Dennis and Terrence. He is survived by his daughter Deirdre Hutchinson (Ed) as well as his son Kevin Dugan (Vicki). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Maura Silverman (Jake), Milissa Henson (Andrew), Meghan Kelly (Brian), Michael Dugan (Sara), Joseph Dugan (Tori), Connor Dugan (McKenzie) as well as his great-grandchildren Jackson and Zachary Dugan, Keira and Colin Silverman and Aidan Henson. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9-11am at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am, in St. Paul’s RC Church. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Facial coverings will be required for all events. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Katharine Drexel Parish St. Paul’s, 223 E. Union Street, Burlington, NJ 08016 or to Samaritan Healthcare Services, PO Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to his family from www.pagefuneralhome.com
