Karen (Woytkewicz) Wade

Karen Wade of Burlington Township passed away Tuesday March 25, 2025 at Complete Care Burlington  Woods at the age of 62. She was born in Ft. Dix, NJ and was a longtime Burlington resident. She was a customer service representative for the Lowe’s Corp. at the time of her passing. As the daughter of a career Army veteran, and the wife of a Marine Corps veteran, she was very active in the VFW Post. Karen was a life member of the VFW whos served as a Past Auxiliary Post President & a Past Outstanding District #11 Auxiliary President. Karen also spent years marching in parades with the Delran VFW Post 3020. She was a strong supporter of veteran’s affairs, donating much time and energy to causes benefitting veterans including the Veteran’s Home in Vineland. In addition to her time spent with the VFW, she also enjoyed the fine arts and enjoyed attending operas, the ballet and Broadway musicals. She also enjoyed listening to classical music, reading books and watching movies. She loved flowers and loved attending flower shows. Karen was also an avid fan of both the Phillies and the Eagles. Her absolute favorite thing to do was attend family social events and get togethers. It didn’t matter the occasion, she loved being with family and close friends. Karen was predeceased by her parents, John and Sophie (nee Ponist) Woytkewicz. She is survived by her husband John, her sister and brother in law Marie and Ted Gauntt, her godson Teddy Gauntt, several brothers in law and sisters in law as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. A visitation for Karen will be held Monday, March 31st from 6-8pm at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Tuesday, April 1st in St. Paul R.C. Church, 223 E. Union St., Burlington. Interment will be at 12:30pm Tuesday in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Due to the cemetery restriction on flowers, memorial contributions made to the NJ Veteran’s Memorial Home, 524 North West Blvd., Vineland, NJ 08036 would be appreciated by her family. Checks should be made payable to; NJVMH, Vineland Welfare Fund with In Memory of Karen Wade in the memo line.
