Katherine M. “Kit” (Gusrang) Comegno passed away peacefully into God’s loving and eternal care on Monday. January 15, 2024 at Complete Care Voorhees at the age of 92. Kit, a loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife was born on March 9, 1931 in Harrisburg PA. A lifelong resident of Burlington; Kit met and married her soul mate Tony in 1949. They shared a storybook marriage filled with much love and memories for 60 wonderful years. Kit was very much a “homebody” whose greatest joy was raising her three children and just spending all her time with her devoted husband. She also took great joy in spending quality time with her two loving granddaughters Charlene and Chelsea.
Daughter of the late Alice & William Gusrang; Kit was predeceased by her adoring and devoted husband Anthony “ Tony” Comegno . 4 sisters: Mary Gusrang, Elizabeth Pupparo, Alice Szychoski, Ruth Pizzio, and two brothers Edward and William Gusrang. Kit is survived by her sons: Tony ( Lynn) Comegno of Mt.Holly; Wayne ( Kathy) Comegno of Eastampton and her loving and devoted daughter and son in law Kitty and Luc Maes of Parrish, Florida. 8 grandchildren: Bob VanPelt, Kathleen Stibler. Wayne Jr Comegno, Anthony Comegno, Mary Smith, Jimmy Comegno . Kit was fondly known as “Nanny” by her “special” granddaughters Charlene and Chelsea Carey of Florida, who will miss her with all their hearts. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Kit wanted everyone to know that she is finally happy and at peace now that she is home with her Lord and Savior and reunited with her beloved “Tony”. She wants no one to be sad or cry but to rejoice in her “ going home” and share in the legacy of love that she left behind in her family.
