Kathleen Y. Escriba

Kathleen Y. Dickerson Escriba of Mt. Laurel passed away at her residence at the age of 69. Born in Riverside, NJ to the late Vernon E. and Beatrice E. Dickerson Kathy was a longtime resident of the Springside section of Burlington Twp. She was a graduate of Burlington Twp. High School, Class of 1968. Kathy married December 17, 1968 to Adrian M. Escriba. She then moved to Florida to be with him while he was serving in the US Air Force at Egling AFB. Upon their return to New Jersey, Kathy worked for the Masonic Home as a secretary in the physical therapy dept. Later she worked for Moorestown Visiting Nurses as an assistant to the fund raising coordinator and finally at the Githens Center in Mt. Holly in the same capacity. Summer was the best time of year for Kathy. She enjoyed being up early to take her walks, loved the NJ shore and when she was in Florida she couldn't get enough of the beaches, sunshine and warm ocean. Kathy was funny, witty, kind, and had one of the biggest hearts, always saw the good in people and was an all around loving and wonderful person. She and her husband Adrian have been lifelong soul mates for 55 years, since she was 13 and he was 14. They were married for 50 wonderful years. In addition to her husband Adrian, Kathy is survived by her son and daughter in law Adrian M., Jr. and Laurie Ligus Escriba, three grandchildren; Brian M. Ligus (Escriba), Danelle McClure and Emily E. Escriba and one great grandchild Giovanni Rivera. Kathy is also survived by her lifelong friends who were like sisters to her: Gayle Gaul, Joanne Goetz and niece Natalie Szabo, her aunts: Peggy (Caroline) Marshall, Ruby Dickerson, and cousins; Debbie Johnson, Sally Curatola, Scott Dickerson, Linda Gramlich, Howard Dickerson, Sherry Dickerson, Audrey Dillon, Madelyn Middleton and Andy Sinkleris as well as her brothers and sister in law: Charles F. (Chuck) Escriba, Michael A. Escriba, and Carol Escriba Prejine. Friends and relatives are invited to gather with the family from 12pm to 1pm Saturday December 29, 2018 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 158 Warren St., Beverly, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 1pm in the church. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to either the Githens Center, 40 Cedar St., Mt. Holly, NJ 08060 or to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053 or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O.
