Kathleena S. Lavdas

Kathleena S. Lavdas of Burlington Township passed away Wednesday August 27, 2025 at her residence at the age of 58. Born in Cherry Hill, she was a longtime resident of Willingboro before moving to Burlington Twp. She had worked as a waitress for the Burlington Diner and most recently had worked as a bus driver for the Burlington County Head Start program. She was also a devoted caretaker, first for her parents and later for her brother Leonidas. She was a 1986 graduate of Willingboro High School where she played softball and was also in the school band. Kathleena was active in her church, St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill where she served on the Greek School PTO as well as many other committees and projects. Family meant everything to Kathleena. In addition to being a caretaker, she was very involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. From being a Brownie Den Mother, to cheer mom, to coaching softball and to just watching and supporting their events, she was there to support everyone. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, especially country music. She enjoyed line dancing and cooking. She was also extremely artistic and enjoyed crocheting. She also enjoyed getting tattoos and piercings. She also enjoyed spending time with her parents; playing Bingo with mom and fishing with dad. Kathleena was predeceased by her parents, Stamatios and Dorothy (nee Farr) Lavdas, her boyfriend Ralph Corbin, III and her nephew Michael Downes. She is survived by her daughter Jazmine Lavdas and her second daughter Jessica Hicks, whom she raised and cared for as if she were her own. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Demetrius Vanderpoel, Noah Vanderpoel, Adrian Vanderpoel, Skyelar Snell, McKenzie Snell and Trinity Snell, her son in law Travis Vanderpoel and her siblings; Leonidas (Janet) Lavdas, Timothy Lavdas and Albert Fletcher and nephews; Ryan Helms, Alexander Lavdas and Jonathan Jarzyk. A viewing for Kathleena will be held from 10:30-11:30, Friday September 12th at St. Thomas G.O. Church, 615 Mercer St., Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. Funeral services will begin at the church at 11:30am with interment following in Lakeview Memorial Park, Rt. 130 North, Cinnaminson. Arrangements are under the direction of the Page Funeral Home, Burlington.
