Kathryn Mackintosh Obituary

Kathyrn L. Mackintosh, formerly of Beverly, passed away on April 24, 2025.  She was born on March 18, 1946 in Mt. Holly, NJ to Albert and Grace James.  She was predeceased in death by the love of her life, her husband Edward Sr. and her loving son Edward, Jr.

Kathyrn (Kay) is survived by her loving children Karen and Scott and grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Kaitlin (Chris) Fagan, Tyler (Jackie) Bartelle, Brittany & Anesa Rocco, Jada and Cheyenne Mackintosh.  She is also survived by her sister Millie (Bill) Perry-Gilbo, sister-in-laws Patricia and Patricia and brother-in-laws James and William.   Kathyrn also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends

Mom was widowed at a very young age and she became mother and father to her three children.  She sacrificed everything for those she loved.  She was very loving, sweet, kind and selfless person who had a heart of gold.  We couldn’t have asked for a more loving and caring woman to be our Mother, Mom Mom, Sister, Aunt Kay and friend.

Mom loved listening to country music, line dancing (years ago), reading and watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.   However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.    Kay worked for many years as a sales clerk for Gregory’s, Mother’s Kitchen and Junior’s.

We take comfort in knowing that she isn’t in pain anymore and that she fought as hard as she could, for as long as she could.  We also take comfort in knowing that our father, brother, her dogs and the rest of our family are in heaven welcoming her with open arms and will take care of her until we see her again.

Life will not be the same without you mom.  We have many great memories of you to get us through this difficult time.  We love you with all our heart (something she would say to all of us)!  We now have a beautiful angel watching over us.

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal”.

“Mother you left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you’re always at our side”.

We will have a memorial service/celebration of life at a later time that we hope all that knew and loved her can attend.  We will share a date and location soon.
