It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kathryn Ann Taylor, lovingly known as Sue. Born on July 30, 1938, she passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on June 27, 2025.
Kathryn “Sue” spent over 80 years residing in Burlington. She began her career as a secretary at McGuire Air Force Base before discovering her true passion in the restaurant industry. She became a familiar and beloved face at Dynasty Restaurant in Delran and Prince Diner in Burlington, where she proudly earned the nickname “Grandmom Diner” from her grandsons. Sue took great pride in her work as a hostess, occasionally enjoyed mixing drinks, and most of all loved connecting with her regulars. She was known for always having a smile on her face and a warm welcome for everyone.
Sue loved traveling with her husband Edward “Tiny” Taylor, especially their annual trips to Las Vegas and visits to Atlantic City with friends. She enjoyed weekly Bingo nights and was an avid reader. She rarely missed a game show and was sharp at Jeopardy. She also had a passion for Elvis impersonator shows.
More than anything, Sue treasured time with her family. Whether it was vacations, dinners, sporting events, or simple check-ins, being together meant everything to her. Christmas was her favorite time of year.
Among those cherishing her memory are her grandchildren Adrienne Cawley, Alexa Borota and Brieanna Cawley, as well as her great-grandchildren Joey (23), Tyler (21), Chase (16), Gabrielle (7), Cooper (5), Troy (4), Riley (3) and Madison (11 months). Each brought their own profound light to her life.
Sue leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and warmth. She is now reunited in eternal rest with her mother Jean Jennings, beloved husband Edward “Tiny” Taylor, her daughter Donna and her son David.
A viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Page's Funeral Home in Burlington. A funeral Mass will take place Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery and a luncheon.
