Lewis H. Tilton, 77, of Burlington Township, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, surrounded by his family and compassionate nurses. Born in Mount Holly, he was a longtime Burlington area resident. Lewis was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked as a millwright and service technician for several local companies, retiring from Bruce Industries.He had a lifelong love of the sea, inspired by his father’s passion as boat captain/iron worker and a family legacy of Naval Service. Lewis enjoyed sailing, wooden ships, maritime knots, deep-sea fishing, tools for the right job, antique cars, and attending the annual Gentleman’s Race in Wildwood. He was knowledgeable about Burlington history and enjoyed sharing stories. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially supporting his grandson’s activities. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (née Schiers); his children, Wendy Ann Tilton, Ryan L. Tilton (Tina), and Colleen M. Wasyk (Charles); his grandson, Aidan Tilton; and many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held Saturday, December 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington, followed by a memorial service at noon. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
