Linnie Brankley (nee McConnell) of Willingboro passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2024. She was born in Sewickley, PA on March 24, 1926 to Lella (nee Purdy) and William McConnell, the last of seven children. She graduated from Coraopolis High School in 1944 and attended Grove City College. She was always involved with her church and loved to sing in the choir. Linnie married the love of her life Russel Thomas Brankley on October 9, 1948. They were married 54 years until Russel’s passing in 2002. She is survived by her three children; Russel James (Patti), David Andrew and Sheryl Louise. Linnie was a homemaker when her children were growing up, moving place to place to accommodate Russel T.’s career. But after the children had grown she enjoyed meeting people by joining the Willingboro Women’s Club, being the Fuller Brush Lady and also working in the school cafeteria. In addition to her children, she is survived by two grandchildren; Heather (Andrew) Derbyshire and Beth (Matthew) Wedler and four great grandchildren; Hannah, Gabriel, Adam and Maeve. You can’t sum up Linnie without saying what a sweet, kind and gentle woman she was. She always had a bad joke or quip and would break into songs where she would inevitably get the words wrong. We will miss her greatly. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 27th at 10:30am in Beverly National Cemetery, Bridgeboro Rd., Beverly, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Page Funeral Home, Burlington.
