Margaret Giordano Obituary

On May 8, 2021 Margaret Giordano (Nee: Santucci) passed peacefully at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly, NJ. Born September 15, 1926 in Burlington City, she was 94 years old. Margaret lived in Edgewater Park for over 70 years with her husband, Joseph Giordano, who predeceased her 3 weeks earlier. They were married for 74 years. Predeceased by her daughter Rosalie Barstow, her parents Theodore and Mary Santucci; her brothers: Tony, Louie and Michael and her sister Jeanette. She is survived by her daughter Maryann Fontana and husband Carl, her son Dominick Giordano and wife Wendy, Son-in-Law Arthur Barstow (Rosalie); Grandchildren: Cheryl Smith (Ron), Arthur Barstown, Jr., Joseph Fontana (Olivia), Anthony Fontana (Ashley), Donny Giordano (Sharon), Tina DeFilippo (Anthony) and 11 great-grandchildren. Margaret worked at and retired from Wood-River Industries in Riverside, NJ. Together with her husband she enjoyed doing may things. Whether it was dinners, outings or visits with her family and friends. Every Saturday evening she attended mass at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Beverly, NJ. Almost weekly trips to Atlantic City for fun, food and strolls on the boardwalk. Marge was a huge Phillies fan rarely missing a game on TV. Marge along with her husband were members of the McDonald’s Retiree Club where they met up every morning with friends for coffee. She will be greatly missed.

Marge will be laid to rest with her husband at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery. Services will be held privately. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to her family from www.pagefuneralhome.com
