Marian Painter

Marian Painter of Burlington Township passed away on Monday at the age of 78. She was born in Burlington to Stanley and Alcenia Painter (Dickerson) and was a graduate of Burlington City High School. Marian worked for the US Government as a Supervisor of shop supplies at Ft. Dix/McGuire for over 45 years before her retirement. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Independent Fire Company. She enjoyed shopping with her sister and nieces, trips to Columbus Farmer’s Market, traveling adventures with her family, the N.E. Patriots and she took pride in keeping a tidy home. Marian was predeceased by her parents, a sister Kathleen George; brothers: William Painter (Biter), Bruce Painter; nephew: Andy Painter and in laws: John George and Patsy Painter. She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers: Stanley (Eileen) Painter, Richard Painter; sister in law: Jennie Painter; nieces and nephews: Darlene, Michelle (Gregg), Lisa (Gary), John (Lisa), Bill (Cheryl), Tracy (Rick), Susan, Steven (Debbie), Bruce (Darlene); grand nieces and nephews: Savanna (Ray), Ricky (Kayla), Alyssa (Bryan), Brooke, Hailey, Bryan, Stephen, Margie; great-grandniece Lily. The family invites friends to her graveside funeral service on Saturday at 12 Noon in St. Mary’s Episcopal Churchyard, 145 West Broad Street, Burlington, NJ 08016. Please park behind the Guild House and follow the path to the gravesite.
