Mariella Perez de Flynn

Mariella (Lucía del Carmen) Perez de Flynn of Burlington, New Jersey, was called to her eternal home on March 16, 2024, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She is survived by her husband Kevin Flynn, son Christopher, parents Juan Ramón Perez Pino and Alina Ibone Alcalde Bastos, brother Fernando Antonio Perez Alcalde, sister-in-law Karen Iannuzzi and her husband John, loving cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of long-time friends.

Mariella was born on April 25, 1974, in Lima, Peru. She graduated from Universidad del Pacífico in 2007 with her master’s degree in business administration and completed her post-grad education in investment management at Universidad de Lima in 2008.

For most of her career, Mariella worked as a Private Banking Investment Advisor in Peru. Mariella relocated to the Unites States and became a citizen in 2018. She continued her career in banking at Citizens Bank and then pursued her passion for teaching becoming a Lead Guide at Guidepost Montessori, Voorhees New Jersey.

Mariella had a passion for travel and experiencing other cultures. She was an excellent Flamenco dancer and instructor. She loved to sing and was a foodie. Her greatest joy was being a mother to her son, Christopher, and sharing with him her love of music, art, food, and travel.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Church of the St. Katherine Drexel Parish. Mariella’s funeral will be held on March 26, 2024, at St. Paul’s Church, 223 E Union Street, Burlington, NJ, with visiting from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM.  Her mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 AM. 

Her burial will be at the Laurel Hill Cemetery located in Burlington, NJ.
