Marion V Raymond

Marion V. Raymond of Burlington, NJ passed from this life to the next on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the age of 89.

Marion was born January 23, 1932 in Bordentown, NJ, the daughter of the late Carlton Markwood and late Evelyn (Grooms) Markwood.  She grew up in Florence, NJ where she was a 1949 graduate of Florence Township High School.  On August 6, 1955 she married her husband of 64 years, Walter J. Raymond.   For more than 25 years, Marion worked as a head cook at Springside Elementary School in Burlington Township.

Marion was an avid sports fan.  She loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles, but especially loved her  Philly’s baseball.  Known as a great hostess, she enjoyed family picnics and dinners at her home.  Family meant everything to her and she instilled that value to all her family members.  Marion looked forward to her weekly Wednesday breakfasts out with her sister, Janice, and friends at local diners.  And she sure did love her excursions to the casinos!

Marion is survived by her two sons, David J. Raymond (Kathleen) and Michael J. Raymond (Mary Ann), her grandchildren, David (Alyssa), Stephen (Nichole), Timothy, and Michael J Jr Raymond (Katherine), Katelyn Palm (Brendan), and Hannah Raymond.  She was blessed to have five great grandchildren: Jaxon, Tanner, Connor, and Liam Raymond and Bruce Palm.  She is also survived by her sister, Janice Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Raymond, and her son Stanley Carl Raymond, her brother Everett Markwood and sister, Doris (Markwood) Pasciullo.

A viewing will be held at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington, NJ on Tuesday from 1-2pm with a funeral service starting at 2pm. She will be united with her beloved husband Walter in Lakeview Memorial Park.
