Mark Pedrick Harbeson, Jr. 82, of Mount Holly, NJ passed away peacefully in his home on August 27, 2022 after a full life. Mark was born on June 2, 1940 at Mount Holly Hospital to Mark and Virginia Harbeson, Sr. Growing up in Burlington City where he was nicknamed “Beaver” by a childhood friend; he spent his days pitching marbles (City Marble Champion circa 1952), searching the local country side for fishing holes and playing/swimming along the banks of The Delaware River. A dedicated well-respected member of Bricklayers Allied Craftsman Local #5 in Bordentown, NJ; Mark retired as a Brick Mason with a career spanning over four decades. Upon retirement, Mark spent time bird watching in his beloved backyard, bicycle riding along Burlington City’s Promenade and socializing at the Oneida Boat Club. Mark is pre-deceased by his loving wife Carol Ann (2019), sister Alice Virginia Higgins (2010), brother Robert Dennis Harbeson (1992), daughter Teresa Ann Palfy (2003), son Gary Harbeson (2012). He is survived by three children: Raymond Frederick Schuyler, the 3rd (Dawsonville, Georgia), Mark Harbeson (Cherry Hill, NJ), and Susan Harbeson (Medford, NJ) as well as his son-in-law, Andrew Cooke. Viewing will be held at Page Funeral Home, Burlington City, NJ on September 7, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a brief religious service. Interment will be a separate private ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where he faithfully made monthly donations for many years.
