Marlene LeRoy of Burlington Twp. passed away Monday March 21, 2022 at her residence at the age of 60. Born in Brooklyn, NY Marlene was a longtime Burlington Twp. resident. She had worked for the US Post Office for about 15 years before beginning work for the Burlington Twp. School District in the high school cafeteria. She was appointed the manager of the cafeteria of the new middle school when it opened, a position she held for over 15 years. She was a Past President of the New Jersey School Nutrition Association and she ran the cooking club at the middle school for several years. She loved her job and was a mom to all at the school, students and teachers alike. She was well liked by all who knew her, both professionally and personally. Marlene loved to travel, particularly to the beach. She grew up spending summers in Seaside, NJ and more recently enjoyed spending time in Indian River, Delaware. She was also very crafty and enjoyed doing many arts and crafts projects in her spare time. She was predeceased by her father, Frederick Wolters. Marlene is survived by her husband, Jim, her son Patrick and daughter Shannon, her mother Aida Wolters, sisters in law Carol Ingham and Marge Burkauskas. A visitation for Marlene will be held Saturday March 26, 2022 from 1-3pm at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. A memorial service will begin at the funeral home at 3pm. Interment will be held privately.
