Marquita Perrotta of Deptford passed away Sunday May 17, 2026 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden at the age of 54. Born in Trenton, NJ she was a longtime Deptford resident. At the time of her passing she was employed as a substitute teacher with Source for Teachers, allowing her to teach in many area school districts. She loved her job and the impact she was able to make on the children she taught. Prior to that she was a bank teller in Lumberton. She also loved being a domestic engineer. She was also the president and founder of White Knight Candle Co. She was an avid candlemaker and crafter and enjoyed taking her wares to the many area craft shows. Marquita also enjoyed cooking, especially to make gravy (not sauce), and hosting family on Sundays, the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving. She also enjoyed gardening, being outdoors in nature and spending time at the beach, especially Ocean City, NJ. She was predeceased by her grandparents Matthew and Helen Johnson and her mother in law Sheri Perrotta. Marquita is survived by her husband Daniel, children; Matthew Cameron, Ashley Patel, Marisa Perrotta and Daniel Perrotta, Jr., her mother Marquita Johnson, father in law Richard Perrotta and his wife Angela, nieces Maggie and Jada as well as her extended family and members of her Perrotta family. A viewing for Marquita will be held from 1-2pm Friday May 22nd at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington, NJ. Funeral services will begin at 2pm and interment will be held privately.
