Michael Halasa, of Burlington Township, passed away at Jefferson, Cherry Hill Division at the age of 75. He was born in Philadelphia and served his Country Honorably during Vietnam in the Army. Mike worked as a truck driver for New-Penn Trucking. Mike was a hands on car guy, mechanic and welder. He like the challenge of fixing car bodies and getting them ready to roll out. He enjoyed rides on his Harley and lunch and diner meetings with friends. Mike was an adventurous Big Teddy Bear and all who knew him, knowns he would give you the shirt off his back, even if it was 3x too big. Mike was predeceased by his parents: Michael and Eileen Farrell Halasa and his brother Johnny He is survived by his children: Morgan Robinson-Halasa, Adam M. (Dawn) Halasa, a brother Jimmy (Mary) Halasa; a step-son Michael Bowker, his “daughter” Tarina (Anthony) Morton and 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters and his nieces,nephews and friends.
A viewing will be held at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington on Friday from 11-12Noon. A service will begin at 12 with burial to follow in the NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Due to cemetery restrictions on floral arrangements, donations may be made in Michael’s memory to a Veterans Organization.
