Michael Truman Jock, Jr. passed away suddenly at work on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the age of 57. Mike worked for Korman Property Corporation as Director of Engineering. Mike recently was assigned to the to the AKA Building from the Rittenhouse Property, which he realized was a new challenge, and he was always looking forward to challenges and turning around properties for the corporation.
Although Mike took pride and enjoyed his work, he will remembered for devoting his whole life to his Loving Wife Lorie and to his father Michael Jock, Sr., and his best four legged friend Jasper. Mike and Lorie loved their camper and spending weekends at Turtle Run Campground. He lived for spending time in the big RV that was in the Jock family, first used by his mother and father, as they crisscrossed their way thru the country. They were fortunate enough at Turtle Run to have the first lot as you entered and Mike soon became the “Unoffical Greeter” of Turtle Run. Everyone would enjoy passing by his spot as they entered to enjoy their weekends. Mike would sit outside the RV and read, do crossword puzzles and soak up being outside with nature. Mike would also have his occasional cigar and a glass of bourbon, which helped the relaxation spirit with his trusty companion Jasper, always by his side.
Mike was not only proud of his work, but was accomplished for doing it. He achieved many certificates including: Certified Pesticide Applicator, Certified Spa/Pool Operator, and a Certificate for National Asbestos Remediation. In his early years Mike served as a Volunteer Fireman and was a member of the NJ State Fireman’s Association.
Mike found some down time here and there and at those moments he would spend them camping outdoors and fishing. Mike was a Life Member of Bass Anglers Sportsman Society. Mike was predeceased by his mother Virginia and his sister Debbie. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 24 years Lorie (Nee: Worthington), many sisters in laws, brothers in law and many nieces and nephews____
