Mildred F. "Midge" Smith

Mildred F. “Midge” Smith of Burlington Twp., passed away Saturday May 18, 2024 at Virtua Lourdes Hospital in Camden at the age of 81. Born in Burlington, Midge remained a lifelong resident. She worked for over 39 years at the Masonic Village in Burlington Twp. in various positions until retiring as an Administrative Assistant in the medical records department. After retirement she worked for a few years in the companion care field. She was a longtime member of the Broad Street United Methodist Church in Burlington, where she remained a very active member. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Burlington Twp. Senior Citizen’s Club and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 147 in Mt. Holly. Midge was predeceased by her husband Ed Smith, her parents William and Olive (nee Grimwood) Michael and her sister Geri Turpyn. She is survived by her children Larry (Barbara) Smith, Donna (Tim) Stout and Bruce (Coreen) Smith, her grandchildren; Melissa (Matthew) Inzerillo, Brian (Kayleigh) Stout, Connor (Charline) Stout, Lauren Smith and Lindsey Smith, great grandchildren; Bailey and Payton Inzerillo. She is also survived by her siblings; Nonny (Frank) Hewes, William (Patricia) Michael, Peggy (Dave) Welch, Ollie (Doug) Leshner and Bob (Pam) Michael and sister in law Gladys Smith along with many nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation for Midge will be held from 10-11am, Monday June 3rd at the Broad St. United Methodist Church of Burlington, 36 E. Broad St., Burlington. Services will begin at 11am in the church. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the Broad St United Methodist Church, 36 E. Broad St., Burlington, NJ 08016 would be appreciated by her family.
