Nancy Elaine Bongiorno passed away Monday August 12, 2024 at her residence in Burlington City at the age of 77 after a three- and half-year battle with colon cancer. The devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Chester, PA. Nancy, or as everyone knew her, Elaine, was a longtime Burlington area resident. Elaine was happiest when spending time with family and friends, especially at the shore, particularly Seaside. She was an avid fan of both the Phillies and the Eagles. She went to many games with her daughter, grandkids, and brothers. In her later years she became an advocate for the Colon Cancer Society and those afflicted by the disease. She never allowed herself to become a victim of cancer. She fought the disease with courage from the beginning to the very end. Often when someone spoke of Elaine, it was about her strength, grace and kindness. Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Anna Oldham and her siblings; Stanley, Steven and David. She is survived by her children and their spouses; son Joseph and Tracey Repici and daughter Lisa and Michael Holmes. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Tyler and Dylan Repici and Zachary and Ava Holmes and her siblings and their spouses; Mark (Debbie), Malcom (Donna), Sherry (David) and Tracie (Bill) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service for Elaine will be held on Saturday October 19th at the Roma Club of Burlington, 739 Lincoln Avenue, Burlington, NJ 08016. Visitation will be from 12-1pm and a luncheon from 1-3:30pm. To show your support and to honor Elaine, please wear Philadelphia Phillies/Eagles gear if you have it, or the color red or green. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Fight Colorectal Cancer, 134 Park Central Square #210, Springfield, MO 65806 or online at fightcolorectalcancer.org.
