Nancy Minuto Obituary

Nancy Darlene Minuto (nee Van Sciver) of Burlington Twp., went home to be with the Lord on Friday February 24, 2023.  Nancy, age 77 (March 3, 1945)  was born in Riverside and  raised in the Beverly/Edgewater Park area. She grew up on her family’s corn farm.   She was a graduate of Burlington City High School, where she met the love of her life, Russ Minuto. They were high school sweethearts who married soon after graduation and enjoyed 57 years of marriage together. Nancy earned her associates degree from the Rider College of Secretarial Science. She worked as a substitute teacher and then went on to be the bookkeeper for her husband’s company, Paris R. Minuto Inc for many years. The most important thing in Nancy’s life other than her husband and love of her family was her relationship with God.  She and Russ sought God each morning in prayer for their family and for others.  She was on the prayer chain for Christian Life Center for many years.   For the past fifteen years, they enjoyed being members of New Life Church in Newton, PA.  Nancy loved being with her family.  Whether it was spending time at the LBI Shore House, traveling out to see the Texas grandkids perform in various plays and recitals or traveling with the Virginia grandkids, she loved every single moment and being called “MomMom.”  Nancy had a youthful and adventurous spirit.  She also had a knack for making friends everywhere she went.  She also enjoyed hobbies such as gardening, was an avid quilter and loved sitting on her back porch with a good book and watching the wildlife check out the bird feeders. She was predeceased by her parents Isaac and Ruth Jean (nee Wallace) Van Sciver, Jr. She is survived by her husband Russ, her sons and daughters in law; Michael and Sherine Minuto (Texas) and Mark and Lizabeth Minuto (Virginia), her grandchildren; Austin, Caitlyn, Alyssa, Ryan and Alexandra, her sister and brother in law Yvonne and Richard Anderson, Sister in law and brother in law Peggy and Harry Lombardozzi,  as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation for Nancy on Saturday, March 25th from 9-11 am at the New Life Christian Church (4 Freedom Dr., Newtown, PA 18940.) A Celebration Service for Nancy will begin at the church at 11am. Interment in the family lot in  Coopertown Cemetery, Edgewater Park will be held privately.
