Norman Harry Jobes Jr. Obituary

Norman Harry Jobes Jr. of Burlington NJ passed away suddenly at the age of 63 on July 25, 2024. Norman grew up in the Farnerville section of Burlington City and graduated from Burlington City High School Class of 1978 and then later settled in Burlington Twp. Norman was previously employed by CVS in Westampton. He was charismatic, caring, and an extremely talented musician. Norman was an exceptionally talented drummer. Over the years, he played drums for the choir at First Christian Assembly, Fountain of Life Center along with donating his talents to many other churches. He also enjoyed playing drums in many other rock and roll bands over the years. Norman was also self-taught on the guitar and piano; and played by ear and wrote his own original songs on both self-taught instruments. Norman enjoyed baseball, swimming, skiing, body surfing, and was a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. Norman cherished and loved his family dearly and would look forward to spending time with them at family gatherings, birthdays and Holidays. He enjoyed going to the Jersey Shore and body surfing the waves. Norman had a light-hearted personality, cared about others, and gave his full heart in everything he did. His smile would lighten up the room and he always found a way to make people laugh and brighten their day. Combined with his endearing personality, charm, and good looks, he was one in a million, and he will be missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.

Norman Harry Jobes Jr. was born September 18, 1960 to the late Norman H. Jobes Sr and Catherine M. Jobes. He is survived by his children; his son Matthew and his daughter Amanda and her husband Scott, and his grandchildren Miles and Genevieve. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses; sisters Lisa and Steven Taylor and Jennifer and Samuel Figueroa, and brother James Jobes, along with several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends.

Norman’s family is saddened not to have had more time with him here on Earth, however, his memory will live in their hearts and souls, cherishing the great moments watching him play music, making them laugh, and nurturing their dreams. His family finds peace knowing he is now with his parents and in the Love and Care of the Lord.
