Patricia Bucci Obituary

Patricia A. Bucci passed peacefully in the early morning of November 10, 2024 after a yearlong battle with lung cancer. Patt was born March 31, 1951 in Summit, NJ. She was predeceased by her parents Des and Peg McBride and brother-in-law Frank “Chipper” Schultz.

“Patty B” met the love of her life, Thomas Bucci, in high school. They were each other’s best friend. Rarely did you see Patt without Tom, as they were married for 52 years. Together, she and Tom were each other’s gambling partners, LBI beach bums and sports fanatics. But, most importantly, they adored each other. Tom personified “in sickness and in health” when he became her caretaker throughout her cancer battle.

Together, Patt and Tom had two children, Kristin (Kelly) and kids Gianna and Dominick, Thomas, Jr. (Melissa) and grandsons William and Matthew. Kris was her mom’s partner in sarcasm and honesty, her birthday buddy and in return, Patt was her hero. Tommy will always love his mama, so much so, that he called a radio station to request the song “I’ll always love my mama” be played on Mother’s Day. Patt was so proud of her shoutout on the airways. Even at the end, a smile from ear to ear would appear when Patt saw the loves or her life, her grandsons. They were her world. From watching them play sports to listening to their school stories, she relished in every moment with them.

Patt also leaves to cherish her memory, her best friend, Kate (Richard) Caruso. If you ever frequented Villa Rosa, any day of the week, you’d see those two. Villa Rosa was their second home. If they served breakfast, they would have had 3 solid meals there, instead of 2. Kate was by Patt’s side for every test, treatment and Dr’s appointment. There will never be enough thank you’s to express how grateful we are to Kate and Richard.

Patt is also survived by her siblings, Micky, Desi and Angie, along with many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

The family would like to thank Amado, Yeni, and all of Patt’s Villa Rosa family; as well as the UPenn Perelman Center and Vitality Hospice. The love and care from all were unmatched. To know Patt was to love her. If she loved you, she did so unapologetically and loudly; and you were lucky.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you donate to The Fund for Penn Medicine. (https://giving.apps.upenn.edu).

The family invites friends to her visitation and Life Celebration on Friday, November, 15, 2024 at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington from 11am-1pm.
