Patricia M. Fitzsimmons (nee Gould) of Edgewater Park passed away Monday May 3, 2021 at the Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mt. Gould (nee Melvin).  She grew up in Floral Park, NY and graduated high school from Sacred Heart Academy in 1954 and the Kaupert Secretarial Institute in 1955.  Patricia married Lawrence Fitzsimmons on August 17, 1957 and they were married for 63 years until his passing in February.  The early years of her marriage were spent at army posts in Georgia and North Carolina.  She once held up an entire parachute training exercise because she had her foot on the brakes of the car!  She raised her family in Willingboro, NJ and was involved with the Willingboro Jayceettes, which enabled her to make several lifelong friendships.  She enjoyed bowling and participated in several bowling leagues.  She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren after school and during the summers.  She enjoyed arts and crafts and making things.  She liked ceramics, scrapbooking, needlepoint, crocheting and knitting.  All of the kids and grandkids have blankets, hats, scarves and Christmas ornaments that she made for them.  The grandkids always looked forward to their trips to the craft store.  She also liked playing the piano and baking.  The family looked forward to her Christmas cookies each year.  She did a lot of traveling.  She went on trips to Japan, Ireland, England, Italy, Mexico, Panama and Alaska.  There were also a few trips to Disney World with the grandkids.  She was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi RC Church in Willingboro.  She helped work their carnivals and helped with the cleaning of the church.  She was a member of their Seniors Club.  She enjoyed dinner with the gang at Vincenzo’s after Saturday night mass.  She did volunteer work for St. Francis Inn, First Way of Burlington County and Holy Cross Academy.  She spent the past year residing at Granville Place and appreciated the help and care she received from the staff there.  In addition to her husband Lawrence, Patricia was predeceased by her son Thomas Fitzsimmons.  She is survived by her son Steve Fitzsimmons, daughter Kerin Pearson, grandchildren; Samantha Cronce (Anthony), Elizabeth Petnicki, Kaitlin Pierce (Matt), Shannon Fitzsimmons, Christopher Pearson, Sean Fitzsimmons (Fiance Bridget) and Casey Fitzsimmons, her great grandson Nico Cronce and great granddaughter BP on the way.  She is also survived by her brother Horace E. “Bud” Gould , III and sisters Clare Polatschek and Rita Adams.  A viewing for Patricia will be held Monday May 17th from 5-8pm and Tuesday May 18th from 8:30-9:30am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E.
