Paul David Messina, Sr.

Paul David Messina Sr. was born in Trenton, NJ to Margaret Ann Seifert and Anthony Messina.  He was raised in Trenton and graduated from Hamilton High West and then served in the Army National Guard.  He fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a police officer and served his hometown in that capacity retiring in 2014 at the rank of Captain after 28 years of service with the Trenton Police Department.

In his retirement, Paul loved spending time with his family, enjoying good food both cooked at home and out trying new restaurants with close friends. He loved boating, traveling, his Philadelphia Eagles, and spending time with his dog, Bailey. It was a dream for him to recover and travel to his ancestral hometown of Casteltermini, Agrigento, Sicily.

He was predeceased by both his parents and three siblings Mary Jane, Anthony, and Ruth. He was the widower of the love of his life Linda Robyn Messina. He is survived by their children Paul Messina Jr and wife Terrel, and Lauren (Messina) and Erick Doyle. He is also survived by his #1 grandson Giovanni Messina, #2 grandson Ryan Messina Doyle, #3 grandson Benjamin Messina Doyle, his only princess, his granddaughter Ava Linda Messina. Finally, he is survived by his brother Samuel Messina and a sister Josephine Messina, and many other close family members and friends that he loved dearly.

Paul fought a very long arduous battle for several years with the last seven months being especially difficult.  As one would expect he died the way he lived “His Way” It is of great comfort to his children and grandchildren that he will be laid to rest with his wife.  A visitation will be held Monday July 1st from 6-8pm and Tuesday July 2nd from 9:30-10:30am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 East Union St., Burlington, NJ 08016. A funeral service will be held 10:30am Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Rd., Burlington.
