Phyllis Mastrocola (nee Austin) of Burlington City passed away September 22, 2025 at her residence at the age of 86. Born in Riverside, Phyllis was a longtime Burlington resident. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in speech therapy from Ohio State University, where she met her husband Paris Mastrocola. She worked as a speech therapist for the Bancroft School in Haddonfield. In her spare time Phyllis enjoyed knitting, cross stitch, painting and sewing. She was a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association. She was predeceased by her parents Calvin and Dorothy (nee Cole) Austin and her husband Paris. Phyllis is survived by her children Lisa Bodine and William Mastrocola, her grandchildren Ryan and Rhiannon Bodine, her brother and sister-in-law Bill and Liz Austin, as well as several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Phyllis’ wishes, services will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of the Page Funeral Home, Burlington.
