Raymond S. Slavitsky Obituary

Raymond S. Slavitsky of Burlington City passed away suddenly Wednesday January 1, 2025 at Virtua Hospital in Willingboro at the age of 63. Born in Philadelphia, Ray was a longtime Burlington resident. He was a graduate of Burlington Township High School, Class of 1979. In his youth he was a member of the Boy Scouts, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Ray was employed first as a mechanic, then as a service writer for Lucas Ford in Burlington and then Medford Ford in Medford, NJ. He was a hockey coach for his son’s hockey teams for over 15 years, coaching both street and ice hockey. Ray will also be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and skiing. He was also a former member of the English Setter Club in Medford. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond H. and Bernetta R. (nee Skibinski) Slavitsky. Ray is survived by his fiance Marthann Brown, son Zachary Slavitsky, step son Shawn Brown, granddaughters Dahlia Slavitsky and Lilliana Dabbenigno and grandson Vandergriff Brown. He is also survived by his brother Richard Slavitsky, sister Theresa Jacoby, nephew Joshua Jacoby, niece Jordan Jacoby and great nephew Jaxson Harney. A viewing for Raymond will be held Wednesday, January 8th from 9-11am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. A funeral service will begin at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Rd., Burlington. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family through www.pagefuneralhome.com.
