Richard A. Ferry, Jr., of Moorestown, NJ passed away peacefully at home, Monday July 28, 2025 at the age of 96. Richard was born and raised in Philadelphia. He graduated from West Catholic High School and Villanova University. He served on active duty as a Lt. in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He remained in the Marine Corps Reserves and retired as a Lt. Colonel. He worked 26 years in Federal Law Enforcement: 10 years as a special investigator with the ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Division) and 16 years as a Supervisory Special Agent with the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration). After his retirement, he worked 12 years as Chief Investigator at Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Dannette (Dee) Fandetta, and his sons Richard (Mary) Ferry, III, David (Catherine) Ferry, Donald (Kathleen) Ferry, grandsons Christopher (Katherine) Ferry, Nicholas (Liya) Ferry, John Ferry, Benjamin Ferry, his granddaughter Ashley Ferry, his great-granddaughters Parker and Paisley Ferry, his brother in law James O’Connor and Dee’s daughters, sons in law and grandchildren.
Richard was predeceased by his parents Richard and Dorothy (nee Casey) Ferry, his beloved wife Elizabeth (nee Leahy) Ferry, his brother John Ferry and sister Marie C. O’Connor.
A viewing will be held at Corpus Christi RC Church, 11 South Sunset Rd., Willingboro, NJ 08046 on Monday August 4,2025 from 9:30-10:30am, with Mass beginning at 11am. Burial services will be held privately.
