Richard M. "Rick" Burns

Richard M. “Rick” Burns of Delanco passed away Sunday August 24, 2025 at his residence at the age of 77. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Rick was a graduate of Father Judge High School in Philadelphia. He was a jack of all trades specializing in telecommunications. He retired from the IBEW 269 in 2014 and went on to own his own telecommunications business. He was an avid boater for many years and was a member of the Happy Hour Yacht Club in Delran and also a member of the VFW in Riverside. Rick was predeceased by his brother Karl Burns. He is survived by his wife Patricia Souza, his sister Christine (Fred) Wiard, his brother Robert (Beverley Huff) Burns, his sister in law Caroline Burns, his nieces and nephews Hana, Kyle, Tina (Rob) Johnson, Freddie Wiard. He is also survived by his stepson Jeffrey Souza, step daughter Kelli (Mark Howey) Souza and grandchildren; Amanda, Andrew and Austin. A gathering of family and friends to share memories of Rick will be held October 4, 2025. Please contact a member of the family for further details.
