Robert T Elbertson

Robert T. Elbertson, age 84, a lifelong resident of Burlington City, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Riverside, NJ Robert attended Beverly Elementary School. He graduated from Burlington City High School in 1961 and attended Ocean County College. Robert retired from the Burlington City Police Department in 1991. He will be remembered for his policework and commitment to his  family and community. Robert enjoyed family time and time spent with friends. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Patricia Elbertson (Carnivale). Robert and Patricia met in high school. He is also survived by two sons: Robert, Jr. (Kathie) and son Erik, Darrin (Lori) and his pride and joy Granddaughter Briana and her friend Joe, as well as sisters in law, a brother in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful neighbors. Robert was predeceased by his parents Harry and Rose Gilbert Elbertson and his brother Harry, Jr. Robert was a member of FOP Burlington City Lodge #63 and Retired Police and Fireman’s Association Local 10.

Services will be private at the request of his family.
