Robert A. Vaughan of Burlington Twp passed away on Thursday after a courageous battle with recent illnesses at the age of 91. Robert was born in Northampton MA and raised his family in Waynesboro, PA and Willingboro , NJ. He was a former parishioner of Corpus Christi RC Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Legion of Mary. At the time of his death he was a member of All Saints RC Church in Burlington NJ. Robert attended the Naval Academy in the late 1940's and graduated from LaSalle University in 1969 with a degree in Engineering. He worked for RCA, Lockheed Martin and Martin Marietta. His work career took him to Virginia, where he continued to be a devout Catholic, serving as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and as a volunteer bookkeeper for Catholic Charities. He was also a Lector at his church in VA and a Eucharistic minister. Math problems, no problem. Bob enjoyed his spare time solving those equations and looked forward to the next set of equations. He also enjoyed reading and spending time with his family and taking time for prayer, the rosary and reflection. Robert was predeceased by his first wife Mary and his second wife Jeanette. He will be missed by his large and loving family and they will cherish his memory. He has seven beloved children throughout eternity, Philip Vaughan, Daniel Vaughan, Anne Marie Exton (John), Kathy Vaughan, Mary J. Cellucci, Bobbie Jean Vaughan, Angela Hackney (Dan). He has 12 beloved grandchildren, Leslie, Billy, Philip (Alison), Jackie, Larry(Amy), Jesse, Jonathan, Robert, Andrew(Stephanie), Stanton, Daniel, Tyler and 12 beloved great grandchildren; Philip, Brittany, Cory, Javon, Layla, Hailey, Isabelle, Natasha, Lysander, Mackenzie, Hannah, Arianna and one beloved great great grandson, Cory. A walk-thru viewing will be held at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington NJ on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 9-10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints RC Church, 502 High Street, Burlington. NJ. Thursday at 11am with burial to follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Facial coverings and social distancing will be required for all events.
