Shreve Edison Marshall, Sr. of Burlington Twp., passed away Tuesday September 3, 2024 at Samaritan Healthcare in Mt. Holly at the age of 83. Shreve was born in Burlington City and remained a resident of Burlington City and Burlington Twp. his entire life. He retired from the Burlington Twp. public works department after over 30 years of service. He was also an exempt firefighter from the Mitchell Fire Co. in Burlington City. He was an avid fan of both the Phillies and the Eagles. Shreve was an animal lover and enjoyed taking long rides, listening to and singing country music, and treating himself to sausage sandwiches at the Jersey Shore. He was predeceased by his parents James and Marion Rebecca “Reba” Marshall, his daughter Cheryl Anne Marshall and his siblings and their spouses; James (Shirley) Marshall, Jr., John “Bertie” Marshall, Virgina (Carl “Mooch”) Leshner, Norma Dennison and Elvia “Toots” (Raymond) Schuyler. Shreve is survived by beloved wife and friend of 46 years, Susan Nolan Parker, his children from his first marriage, Sandy (Jim) Clark, Shreve (Catherine) Marshall, Jr., Harry (Traci) Marshall, and his step-children Joshua (Samantha) Parker, Timothy Parker and Michele (Bryan) Hogan.
He is also survived by his grandchildren; Melissa Harris, Jason Hoffman, Hilary Marshall, Elisabeth Marshall and Caitlyn Clark. Shreve is also survived by his step grandchildren; Zhane Thomas, Parker Hogan, Madeline Hogan, Dio Parker, Hannah Roth, Ryan Parker, Nolan Parker, and Dalayah Parker, seven great-grandchildren, the mother of his children Joan Ingling Marshall, his beloved sister in law Susan Marshall and beloved brother in law John Dennison.
A viewing for Shreve will be held Monday, September 9th from 9:30-11 am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Funeral services will begin at 11 am at the funeral home with interment following in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rt. 130 and Beverly Rd., Burlington.
