On November 18, 2022 Sue Caruso Coccia completed her journey here on earth and has joined the Lord and her beloved family in heaven at the age of 95 years old. Sue was born in Burlington to Italian immigrants Vincenzo and Angelina Z. Caruso. Sue attended Burlington schools graduating from High School in 1946. In 1951 Sue married Joseph Coccia of Burlington and began to raise their family. She worked in Burlington Fabric Mills and NJ Bell Telephone. While raising her family, she served as secretary for the Burlington Presbyterian Church where she became longtime friends with Dr. Rev. Deborah Brincivalli. Sue concluded her working career retiring from the NJ Division of Motor Vehicles. Sue’s life was her family and her family was her life. She was a devoted, loving mother, spouse, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Always a smile on her face, she loved talking and laughing about the “old times”. Her passing marks the end of her generation in the Caruso lineage. As the matriarch of the family, she was, by extension, a “mom” to all of her nieces and nephews. Sue was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her brothers, Louis, James and Richard Caruso and her beloved sister, Rose Caruso Datti. Sue is survived by her children, JoAnn Coccia and Joseph and Nancy Coccia. Her loving grandchildren Nicole Cento Zoller and Robert and Allison Cento and her “little sweethearts” –her beloved great grandchildren Angelina Zoller and Salvatore and Anthony Cento along with many loving and caring nieces and nephews and their children. A special thank you to nephew Joseph Datti and nieces Darlene Caruso, Ellen Ramsey and Diane and Jim Evanson. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the wonderful, dedicated doctors, nurses and social workers of Samaritan for all their caring and support throughout this process. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022 at Page Funeral Home 302 E. Union St Burlington NJ 08016. The viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed immediately by a service by the Dr. Rev. Brincivallli. Entombment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery Mausoleum in Burlington. Donations may be made online at SamaritanNJ.org/giving or by mail at Samaritan Gift Processing Center PO Box 71425 Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425.
