Susie A Dougherty

Susie A. Dougherty (née Inverso), 88, a longtime resident of Burlington Township lately of Cherry Hill, was called from this life on December 28.  She is survived by her sons Michael and David (Tracey), son-in-law David Raymond (Kathleen), and her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by Francis, her husband of 49 years; her daughters, Catherine Raymond and Donna Abate; and her parents, John and Clara Inverso.  Sue was a 1950 graduate of Hamilton High School. She worked for many years in admissions at what is now Virtua Willingboro Hospital. Her kindness and outgoing personality made her popular among the patients and staff and led to lifelong friendships, which she treasured.  A woman of great faith, Sue was a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish Altar Rosary Society and Young at Heart Club. When not busy caring for her family and home, she enjoyed attending musicals at the Ritz Theatre, shopping at Kohl’s, and visiting friends at the hair salon each week.  Her funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 223 E.
