Thomas J. Eleuteri of Burlington City passed away Friday January 29, 2021 at the Cambridge rehab and Healthcare Center in Moorestown at the age of 77. Born in Mt. Holly and raised in Burlington. Thomas was a resident of Denville and Lake Hopatcong, NJ before moving back to Burlington. He was a graduate of Burlington City High School, Class of 1961 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in 1965. He was a music teacher beginning his career in Bayonne and finishing with the Jefferson Twp. Schools. He was an accomplished pianist and composer, holding concerts in Jefferson Twp. he also wrote the music for the Hobbit play. After retiring from teaching, Thomas took a job at the John A. Roebling Museum in Roebling until retiring again. In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed reading books on all subjects. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Charlotte A. (nee Dempsey) Eleuteri and his Aunt, Sister Anna Eleuteri. Thomas is survived by his sister Anita Cameron, his nephew Paul R. (Barbara) Cameron, his aunt Joyce Oliver and cousins Susan and Tom Sheridan. He is also survived by his good friend Elle Douglass and former student Andrew Pascoe whom he inspired to become a music teacher. A walk through visitation for will be held from 9:30-10:30am Saturday February 6, 2021 at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Saturday in St. Paul R.C. Church 223 E. Union St., Burlington. Entombment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Rd., Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, online at stjude.org or by mail at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated by his family.
